There's a new EV startup in town called Rivian and they've just unveiled what they're calling one of the world's first "Electric Adventure Vehicles", the R1T. The 5-passenger electric pickup will have a range of over 400 miles, a wading depth of up to 3.2 feet, and quad-motor all-wheel-drive. The truck aims to have the most lockable storage of any pickup out there with a front trunk that can store up to 330L, a lockable Gear Tunnel that is situated below the cab and can store up to 350L, and there's even a 200L storage space under the truck bed.

It will also have a Gear Guard feature that can secure things like bike frames and other gear with integrated locking cables and the bed is monitored by camera and will alert the owner if anyone is touching your property. Other features include a fast charging system that will allow for up to 200 miles of range in just 30 minutes of charging, and Level 3 autonomy.

Rivian plans on delivering the truck to customers in 2020 and is currently accepting refundable deposits of $1,000 to secure a pre-order.
