Microsoft officially announces their next-generation console, Project Scarlett

At their annual E3 press conference, Microsoft announced the usual barrage of new titles and exclusives for the Xbox One but they also came with news of their next-generation console, which is codenamed, Project Scarlett. The new console will feature custom processors from AMD based on their Zen 2 processor technology and NAVI GPU, high-bandwidth GDDR6 memory, frame rates at up to 120 fps, 8K capability, reduced load times, variable refresh rates, hardware accelerated ray tracing, and SSD-based virtual RAM and storage. 

Project Scarlett will launch at the end of next year and one of the first titles to be announced with the system is Halo Infinite.
