After impressing the world with its incredibly well-designed OP-1 Synthesizer, Teenage Engineering is announcing their very first home speaker, the OD-11 Cloud Speaker. Based on the original OD-11 designed by Stig Carlsson, the speaker was designed from the ground up for playing music from your favorite cloud-based service. Inside the speaker is a 100W amp that helps power the tweeters and subwoofer and of course, built-in WiFi helps pull down your music from your favorite source. Controlling the OD-11 is done with a specially designed "Ortho" remote that controls volume via Bluetooth 4.0, which barely needs any fuel and can run for years on just one battery. Summer 2013.
