Technics is celebrating its 55th anniversary with some serious hi-fi firepower. The company is releasing a special edition SL-1210GAE, based on their Grand Class SL-1200G. The limited edition model has a 10mm aluminum top panel that has an anodized black brushed hairline finish with a matching black tonearm and buttons. Additional features include special badging with a unique serial number, a zinc insulator for vibration damping, and an on/off switch for the strobe. It also features a coreless direct drive motor, high-precision motor control technology, a three-layered turntable platter, high-level balance adjustment, a high-sensitivity tonearm, brass-milled and gold-plated terminals, and a four-layered cabinet construction.
