Starlink streamlines its satellite with a more versatile design
The new satellite is lighter and has more mounting options.
As Starlink begins to roll out into more locations, the company has already updated its satellite design with a smaller, rectangular form factor. The new satellite design allows for more mounting options and accessories and its new 9.2 lb design should make it much less cumbersome to install. The updated satellite also comes with a new router that now has 3x3 MU-MIMO support and has an enhanced operating temperature threshold of -22F to +122F.
