Sony's XBA-NC85D ($500) might just be the ultimate travel headphone. While the headphones improve sound quality with the brand's new Balanced Armatures, what's most impressive here is how they've removed the cumbersome battery unit and shrunk it down to fit inside the headphones. And that tiny battery packs a serious amount of battery life, 20 hours on a single charge. As for availability the headphones should hit Japanese retailers in November and a Stateside is set for a few months after. Link
