Sony's best point-and-shoot puts high-speed photography in your pocket

The RX100 gets a new version with faster shooting and slow motion capability.

Sony's RX100 is turning into the Porsche 911 of cameras. It's a perfect, pocket-friendly form factor that has been a great camera since it was first introduced and continues to improve upon its perfection with every generation. This time they've made the camera even faster with a new an improved 20 megapixel sensor that lets you shoot up to 1/32000 and up to 40x slow motion.

Specifically, the camera can shoot slow motion frame rates of 960/1000fps, 480/500fps, or 240/250fps and for high speed shooting you can get burst shots of up to 16 frames per second. On top of that, you get that hideaway EVF, a tilting display, 4k video recording, and built-in WiFi.
