Sonos announces its first smart speaker
The new speaker will launch with Amazon Alexa and will gain Google Assistant support next year.
It's official, you can't release a home speaker without having some sort of voice technology embedded and that's exactly what Sonos announced today with the Sonos One. The speaker will be powered by a Class-D digital amplifiers, one tweeter, and one mid-woofer and a six-mic array ensures your voice is heard clearly, even over music. Sonos One will initially launch with Amazon Alexa and it will get Google Assistant and Apple Airplay 2 support in 2018.
Sonos One is now available for pre-order and will ship later this month.
