Sennheiser is following up its well-reviewed HD 800 headphone with an updated model that features Gorilla Glass transducer covers. High-end headphones aren't exactly ideal in noisier situations due to their open-back construction, but Sennheiser is changing this with curved Gorilla Glass that covers the ring radiator transducers. This unique setup lets you enjoy music that has the transparency of an open-back design while being insulated from your environment. The headphones will also feature Pentaconn connectors, which have lower contact resistance to lower distortion and allows for a more transparent sound.

The Sennheiser HD 820 will be available early this summer.
