Sega announces the Genesis Mini
Looks like Sega wasn't blind to the massive success of Nintendo's miniature retro consoles as the company plans to release an "official" mini version of the Genesis. Polygon reports that Sega will be enlisting the help of retro gaming licensee, AtGames, whose technology will be powering miniature 16-bit console. No word yet on what games will be included, but we can surely expect some Sega staples like Sonic the Hedgehog. And here's hoping we see some 32X, Sega CD, and Saturn consoles down the line.
Sega plans to have the console out in Japan first with America and other territories to follow later this year.
