Samsung 108MP Image Sensor

It wasn't enough for Samsung to compete with the iPhone's camera, the company is now setting its sights on the DSLR world with the first 108MP image sensor for smartphones. Developed in collaboration with Xiaomi, it is the first 1/1.33-inch-sized sensor allowing for better photos in low-light shooting scenarios and it also allows for a big bump in video recording quality with support for shooting at 6K (6016 x 3384) resolution at 30 fps.

Samsung plans to mass produce their DSLR-fighting ISOCELL Bright HMX image sensor later this month.
