Samsung Unpacked 2020

Samsung launched its latest and greatest Galaxy products at this morning's virtual Galaxy Unpacked event with the reveal of their most powerful Note models yet, the Galaxy Note20 and Galaxy Note20 Ultra, the Galaxy Watch3, Galaxy Buds Live, Galaxy Tab S7, and the Galaxy Z Fold2. The biggest announcement of the event was the note Note20 models (available August 21st), which pack massive screens and it's most powerful hardware to date.

At the top of the range is the Note20 Ultra, which features a 6.9" AMOLED display with 3088x1440 (496ppi) resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, a 64-bit octa-core processor, 12GB of RAM, 128/256/512GB storage options, 5G and LTE options, a triple camera system with 12MP and 108MP sensors, a 10MP front camera, and a 4,500mAh battery. The standard Note20 comes with a 6.7" AMOLED display with 2400x1080 (393ppi) resolution, 64-bit octa-core processor, 8GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage, 5G and LTE models, a triple camera system with 12MP and 64MP sensors, a 10MP front camera, and a 4,300mAh battery. Both phones also include an S Pen with 4,096 pressure levels.

Hoping to steal some attention away from the iPad Pro, Samsung's Galaxy Tab S7+ brings a large screen tablet experience with its 12.4" 2800x1752 Super AMOLED display and 120Hz refresh rate. It also features 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage or 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage, microSD storage up to 1TB, 5G and LTE connectivity, a 10,090mAh battery with 45W Super Fast Charging support, and a 64-bit octa-core processor to power it all.

Samsung takes the Galaxy Watch (available August 6th) into its third generation with a new model that comes in stainless steel or titanium and is now thinner, smaller, and lighter than previous models while also having a larger display. The Galaxy Watch3 will be available in 41mm or 45mm, the watch will be capable of measuring blood oxygen levels, blood pressure, and it will also be able to make electrocardiogram readings.

One of the most interesting announcements was its smallest device, the Galaxy Buds Live (available August 6th). The bean-shaped earbuds are designed to fit much more comfortably and naturally in the ear without protruding. Developed in collaboration with AKG, the buds feature 12mm speakers and a bass duct, three microphones and a Voice Pickup unit, and Active Noise Cancellation. Battery life is rated at six hours per charge and an additional 15 hours is available with the included charging case.
