Samsung readies itself for the imminent arrival of the iPhone 6 with a new handset that draws some inspiration from the crown jewel of Cupertino with their new Galaxy Alpha. Rather than going for a larger screen size, the Alpha takes a more streamlined approach with a 4.7" Super AMOLED screen and a slimmer profile that is 7mm thick.

The phone is powered by their Octa Core processor that features Quad 1.8GHz + Quad 1.3GHz chips and has 2GBs of RAM, a 12MP camera, 4K video capability, 32GBs of storage, LTE connectivity, Android KitKat, and a 1,860 mAh battery. The phone will be available early next month in Silver, Blue, Black, White, and Gold.
