Samsung is bringing its LED technology to the big screen

Could this be the end of the projector?

Movie screens could potentially get a major upgrade in the near future if Samsung has anything to say about it. The company is bringing their LED technology to the cinema with a 34-foot screen that displays content at 4K (4,096 x 2,160) resolution and has a brightness that is ten times that of a standard cinema projector and the screen will benefit from a consistent and distortion free image. Samsung is also saying the screens will have high color accuracy, deep blacks, and low-tone greyscale settings.
