Ring announced some unique new security products today with the reveal of the Ring Always Home Cam and the Ring Car Alarm. The Ring Always Home Cam (right) doesn't sounds all that interesting from its name alone but as you can see things are a bit more sophisticated than you think. This autonomous indoor security camera features a drone that stays docked and in the event of an intruder alert, the camera will deploy from its dock to check out what's going on and sends a live video feed right to your smartphone.

The company also announced the Ring Car Cam (left), which features dual-facing HD cameras that protects you when you're parked or on the road and broadcasts that video over Wi-Fi or LTE. The camera uses smart sensors to detect a potential issue and it has Alexa built-in, allowing you to do things like record a traffic stop with a simple voice command. Alongside the Car Cam, Ring announced Car Connect, an API that car manufacturers can use to build Ring's security services into their vehicles.
