When the next round of flagship Android phones hit the shelves next year, it'll be more than likely that they will be built around Qualcomm's latest CPU, the Snapdragon 855. The chip's biggest feature will be 5G connectivity, which will be available from most of the world's major mobile networks sometime next year. Qualcomm also says the chip will enhance AI performance, 4K video, photography, and it will help power their new 3D Sonic Sensor, an in-display, ultrasonic fingerprint scanner that takes 3D images of your finger and can unlock your phone even when your finger is wet or smudged.
