The next-generation Macan is going fully electric

Porsche is making its most aggressive move to date with their electrification strategy as the company has announced that the next-generation Macan will be going fully electric. Joining the Taycan and the Taycan Cross Turismo in their EV portfolio, the new Macan will be built at their Leipzig factory in Germany and is going to use the company's 800-volt technology that is based on the Porsche Premium Platform Electric architecture that was developed in collaboration with Audi.

Porsche plans to have the first Macan EVs in production sometime next year.
