Peak Design Travel Tripod

Peak Design has introduced what could be their most clever camera accessory yet, a travel tripod. Their upcoming Travel Tripod isn't simply about portability, it's more about giving you everything you could possibly need in a full-sized tripod and a few more extras. Four years in development, the tripod registers at half the volume of a traditional travel tripod and can fit in most backpacks' water bottle pockets. As for its functionality, the tripod is designed to be fully deployed in seconds and features a quick-release attachment that can support full-size DSLRs with telephoto lenses and it has a fully articulating ball head. It also has a counterweight hook, a mobile mount for your smartphone, and an inverted and low mode for macro photography and low angle shots.

The Peak Design Travel Tripod will be available in aluminum or carbon fiber and is set to be delivered to customers at the end of this year.

From $289 (pre-order price),
