After years and years of development and an acquisition by Facebook, Oculus is finally bringing the Rift out of Beta and plans to deliver it to consumers in the first quarter of 2016. Not many details have been released as of yet, but Oculus plans to reveal more as it gets closer to gaming's biggest tradeshow, E3.
What we do know is that the consumer edition will feature an even more comfortable design, updated ergonomics, an improved tracking system, and a much more natural fit. The company plans on beginning pre-orders for the Rift later this year and will reveal the technical details next week.
