Nikon D7000

It was going to take something pretty impressive to replace Nikon's much loved D90, and we think they've delivered in spades. The D7000 ($1,200/$1,500 with lens) is a monster of an upgrade with a 16.2 megapixel DX-sensor, 6fps continuous shooting, ISO range from 100-6400 (Expands to 25,600), 100% Viewfinder coverage, 39-point AF, Dual SD Slots, and a new 2,016 pixel RGB metering sensor. Most exciting however is the addition of a much improved video recording system that brings 1080p/720p recording, video recording up to 20 minutes, full autofocus, and a stereo mic input. Link
