What if you could play any Xbox game without ever having to turn on an Xbox console? That's the idea behind Project xCloud, a new game streaming service that can be played on a variety of devices. Microsoft has created a unique blade server that can house the components of multiple Xbox consoles to create the core infrastructure of xCloud. Testing begins today with public testing set for a later date. Users will be able to use Bluetooth controllers with a smartphone or tablet or an on-screen touch interface.

Microsoft has yet to announce an official release date, but be on the lookout for public tests sometime next year.
