McIntosh unveils its first hybrid integrated amp

The amp brings together solid state circuit design and vacuum tube technology.

McIntosh is debuting its first hybrid integrated amplifier, the MC275. The amp merges vacuum tube and circuit design technology in a retro-modern package that has those classic McIntosh design cues that not only looks good, but sounds good too. It features two 12AX7a and two 12AT7 vacuum tubes in protective cages, McIntosh Monogrammed Heatsinks, dedicated bass and treble dials, 2 unbalanced, 1 balanced and 1 Moving Magnet phono input for turntables, and it will be the first product with vacuum tubes to feature Power Guard technology to help reduce any potential damage from sound clipping.
