Light and Sony team up to power the next generation of smartphone cameras

Three cameras? How about six?

Camera phone technology took a big leap when manufacturers moved to a dual camera setup and now companies like Samsung are showing off triple camera systems to make your smartphone's photographic capabilities even more versatile than ever. These new triple camera systems seem like the bleeding edge of smartphone camera technology, but Light wants to take that further with systems that could feature up to six cameras. Today, the company announced a joint venture with Sony, who will be giving them access to their sensor technology, which is inside many of the smartphones we use today. The company hasn't announced their partners as of yet, but plans to make more announcements through the year.
