LG's G5 is the world's first ever modular smartphone
LG is doing something very interesting with their new flagship G5 smartphone. The model will be the first modular smartphone to hit the market using a slide-out design for additional accessories. The phone will launch with interchangeable batteries, a Bang & Olufsen Hi-Fi DAC, and a CAM Plus module that enhances the camera functionality to make it more like a traditional point and shoot.
When it comes to power, the G5 is no slouch. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It also touts a 5.3" 554 PPI, Quad HD IPS display, a 16MP camera with a 135-degree wide angle lens, 8MP front camera, 2,800mAh removable battery, aptX HD for 24-bit audio streaming, microSD expansion, USB Type-C charging, and the latest Android's latest OS, 6.0 Marshmallow.
