Leica announces a beast of a telephoto, the Noctilux 75mm f/1.25

Leica Noctilux M 75 f/1.2

Leica is adding to the legendary NOCTILUX series with a new 75mm f/1.25. The lens features nine elements in six groups, a construction that boasts a short focusing distance that is blazing fast and is ideal for creating smooth bokeh and detailed images. The lens is designed specifically for M-mount cameras and its larger size is said to be a perfect complement to ergonomics and focus peaking features of the Leica SL.

The new Noctilux will be available at Leica dealers at the beginning of 2018.
