The International Leica Society is celebrating their 50th Anniversary in 2018 and to mark the occasion they're releasing a very special Summicron 50mm f/2 . Available in silver chrome or black, the lens will recall design elements from the original model from 1954 and will feature a focal length and distance scale in red and colored engravings specific to each lens color. The 2018 Summicron 50mm joins a family of International Leica Society products including a silver chrome M6 with three Summicron lenses from 1993 and a hammertone Leica MP from 2003.

The special edition Summicron-M 50mm f/2 will be available this January.
