Intel is bringing its most powerful processor to laptops

Today, Intel has announced that its bringing its highly-anticipated Core i9 processors to laptops and if you're the type to buy fully spec'd out comptuers then you might want to hold off for a bit. The chips are based on their Coffee Lake platform with a 14nm processor that allows for greatly improved framerates for games and faster 4K rendering times. 

The flagship 8 Gen Intel Core i9-8950HK will boast six cores and twelve threads and has a feature they're calling Thermal Velocity Boost that can bump the clock frequency up to 200 MHz, making it possible for a turbo frequency up to 4.8 GHz. It will also include their new 300 Series Chipset that features Gigabit Wi-Fi connectivity. 

You can order i9-powered laptops today via companies such as MSi and Asus.
