Google fires its shot at the Amazon Echo with a new device called Home. Backed by the company's new Assistant technology, Home gives you control over everyday tasks using voice-activated controls. Doing things like turning on the lights or playing music anywhere in your home is simple and conversational.

You can do things like ask it for traffic information and it will not only tell you what the current conditions are like, but it will also send you quicker routes to your phone. Even with a simple goodbye, Home will shut off the lights and turn off your air conditioning. It can also play music on its built-in speaker and Google Cast compatibility gives you control over the music and video in your home for any room of the house.
