GoPro officially launches the Omni, its professional 360-degree camera rig

GoPro is banking on VR to be at the center of next generation of filmmaking and they've just officially launched the perfect tool for 360-degree video with the new Omni. The cube features a six camera rig of HERO4 Black cameras that all operate as one. Features include an aluminum frame that helps dissipate heat, pixel-level synchronization, and a modular system that makes it easy to repair damaged panels or cameras. Available August 17th.
