And they're hoping to lead the charge with the sneaker market first.

So you want to pull the trigger on those Space Jams you saw on the secondary market, but with all the counterfeiting going on lately you can't be completely sure you're getting the real deal. Chronicled hopes to change that with a new platform that uses "Smart Labels" to not only authenticate sneakers, but even show you things like where it was first purchased and ownership history. These labels are added by retailers, brands, or verified experts.

It all works with their app that allows you to scan their Smart Labels to view that sneaker's profile and have access to their social network where you can connect with other collectors, brands, and retailers. And just imagine what it could do for other luxury goods such as watches or other high-end accessories.
