Canon has announced the next evolution of its full-frame mirrorless camera platform with the reveal of the EOS R5. The upcoming camera will serve as their flagship full-frame mirrorless model and will feature an all-new sensor and a new imaging processor. While the company has yet to reveal the sensor size, what they have announced is that the camera will be capable of 20 fps with the silent shutter, 12 fps with the mechanical shutter, 8K video capability, in-body image stabilization, and dual card slots. Canon has also announced the development of seven RF lenses and two RF lens extenders that are set for release this year.
