Apple Mac Studio

Apple just wrapped up their "Peek Performance" event with the announcement of a new desktop and display, an M1-powered iPad Air, a 5G iPhone SE, and a new colorway for the iPhone 13. The Mac Studio (from $1,999) adds a new desktop option to the Mac lineup with a pro-focused design that can be powered by their most powerful chip to date, the M1 Ultra. Machined from a single aluminum extrusion, the Mac Studio can be equipped with an M1 Max or M1 Ultra processor and that performance is optimized with a thermal design that includes double-sided blowers, strategically placed airflow channels, and over 4,000 perforations to help keep things cool.

You've also got a wide array of connectivity with four Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A ports, HDMI, 10Gb Ethernet, and a pro audio jack for high impedance headphones or amplified speakers. Mac Studio will be joined by a new 27" 5K Studio Display ($1,599) that boasts 600 nits of brightness, P3 wide color, an A13 processor, a 12MP Ultra Wide camera with Center Stage, studio-quality mics, and a high-performance audio system with Dolby Atmos and spatial audio support.

It will also come with a new Ultra Wide front camera with Center Stage, a faster USB-C port, and it now has a 5G option for high-speed cellular connectivity. Available in 64GB or 256GB configurations, the iPad Air comes in a new array of colors and is compatible with the 2nd generation Apple Pencil, Magic Keyboard, and Smart Keyboard Folio.

Apple also made some significant updates to its iPhone lineup with the most important being the 5G iPhone SE. Starting at just $429, the new model offers a ton of value with an A15 Bionic chip that puts its performance up there with the flagship iPhone 13 and it also packs 5G connectivity, better battery life, enhanced durability, and a 12MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture. Apple also updated the iPhone 13 lineup with a new alpine green colorway for both the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13.

All of Apple's new products will be available on March 18th.
