Apple brings some much-needed performance updates to the MacBook Pro lineup

The laptops now feature 6-core processors, up 32GB of RAM, and the new Apple T2 chip.

Pro users waiting for Apple to make a MacBook that's more befitting of its "Pro" badge will be happy to see Apple's latest lineup today as the company has announced some major upgrades to the 13" and 15" inch models. The updated laptops feature 8th generation Intel Core processors with up to 6 cores on the 15" and up to four cores on the 13". The much-requested boost in RAM capacity has also been answered with support for up to 32GB of memory. Other features include True Tone display technology and a T2 chip that enhances security and enables "Hey Siri" for the first time on a Mac.
