Smith and Norbru for Kapok

HK-based retail chain Kapok is getting a very special pair of sunglasses this season. They've commissioned Smith and Nobru to craft a frame from buffalo horn found in the Tibetan plateau.

Using 50 separate operations to create each frame, the horn is cut, pressed, and flattened and is then finished by hand. Definitely something to think about when you're throwing down a nice chunk of change for that mass manufactured piece that you can grab at any sunglass shop in the mall.

$450, Kapok
