Seiko pays tribute to Japan's first wristwatch
The watch is based on the Laurel from 1913.
The watch that started it all for Seiko is getting a recreation under the company's Presage label. The watch is based on the Laurel, which was created by Seiko's founder Kintaro Hattori and was also Japan's first wristwatch. A faithful recreation of the original style, the SPB359 features a 37.5mm case in stainless steel and an enamel dial with blued hands and a power reserve indicator at nine o'clock. Powering the watch is Seiko's 6R27 automatic movement, which has a 45-hour power reserve.
Available January 2023.
