Seiko is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the world's first quartz wristwatch with something truly special. The company is reissuing its original Astron design from 1969 with a limited edition that features a 40.9mm, hand-carved 18kt yellow gold case. It will also be powered by the latest in Seiko watch technology with its latest GPS Solar movement that can automatically set the time no matter where you are in the world. It's also the world's thinnest solar-powered GPS movement and it features a perpetual calendar that can remain accurate until February 28th, 2100, a power save function, and overcharge prevention.
Available at Seiko boutiques this December.
