Prometheus Design Werx releases its cafe racer-style CR1 in black horsehide
Based on designs from the 1950s and 60s, the CR1 is Prometheus Design Werx's take on the classic cafe racer-style leather jackets of the era. PDW's version is handmade in San Francisco, CA and is constructed out of black front quarter horsehide. The horsehide is a custom-tanned 3oz leather that has a softer feel than comparable hides and is designed to work well on and off the bike. They also added some modern elements such as a wind flap, a USN G1-type gusseted bi-swing back, and a rugged MILSPEC 5050 NYCO ripstop lining.
