Nearing almost 100 years in business, Persol looks to the last 99 and commemorates three of of their most famous models. Those three are the 649, the 714, and the Cellor. The three styles represent important chapters in the company's history.
First up is the 649, an iconic frame shape designed in 1957 for Turin tram drivers and quickly became a fashion staple when actor Marcello Mastroianni wore it in the acclaimed comedy, Divorce Italian Style. Next is the 714, a variation of the 649 and was a favorite of Steve McQueen and was the first folding sunglass. Both frames will also be offered in an optical version for the first time. Last but not least is the Cellor, a timeless piece from the 1950s that returns with the same mixed materials, half-rim design.
