Panerai engineered a stronger platinum alloy for its newest Luminor Marina
The enhanced platinum is harder and more scratch resistant.
Panerai introduces a new material development with the introduction of Platinumtech. Platinumtech is a special formulation of the precious metal, enhancing it to a degree where the alloy is harder than normal platinum and is much more scratch-resistant. Rendered in 44mm of Platniumtech, the watch features an olive green dial with a satiné soleil finish, beige Super-LumiNova numerals and indexes, and a dark brown alligator leather strap with ecru stitching. The watch's movement is an in-house Caliber P.9010 with a three-day power reserve.
