Panerai showcases its latest watch technologies in the new Luminor LAB-ID Carbotech
Panerai reveals one of its most technically advanced timepieces yet, the limited edition Luminor LAB-ID. The watch features a 49mm "Carbotech" carbon composite case, which is formed by fusing together thin layers of carbon fiber at a specific controlled temperature while an organic polymer adheres the layers together, creating a resistant and durable case construction. The watch also features Super-Luminova X-1, a more durable luminous coating and a P.3001/C in-house, manually-wound three-day movement with main bridges and a plate that require no lubrication due to the unique nature of carbon fiber.
Only 70 will be produced and the inaugural timepiece will be available at the Racing Pulse Phillips auction on December 12th.
