Oris releases its new and improved Aquis Depth Gauge
The Depth Gauge measures depth by channeling water into the timepiece.
The Oris Depth Gauge isn't like your average dive watch. Instead of doing everything it can to keep water out, it actually lets water in. The watch is able to measure depth during a dive by allowing water into a small hole in the sapphire crystal where it enters a channel milled around the outer edge of the crystal, creating a watermark that corresponds to an easy to read gauge. As for specs, the watch features a 45.8mm stainless steel case that houses an Oris 733, base SW200-1 automatic movement with a 38-hour power reserve and is fitted to a steel bracelet or a rubber strap.
