Over 60 years ago, the precursor to the Asics brand was introduced to the world by Kihachiro Onitsuka, the namesake of Onitsuka Tiger. Though Onitsuka Tiger eventually became Asics, the brand's styling continues to live on and in 2004 the label was brought back to celebrate Kihachiro's creation. Today, Onitsuka is taking it back to their roots with a special edition release that features two sneakers that are carefully and individually handcrafted in Japan.

The release is available exclusively at the Onitsuka Tiger Soho Pop- Up Store & Gallery on 92 Mercer Street in New York.
