As we get closer to Air Max Day, Nike is drumming up more excitement for the shoe's 30th Anniversary. The latest update comes via their NikeLab division, who has teamed up with Marc Newson, Riccardo Tisci, and Arthur Huang, who have created three new Air Max concepts. One of the boldest interpretations comes from Marc Newson (above), who has combined FlyKnit and their VaporMax sole with a full-grain leather panel that wraps around the entire shoe.
Riccardo Tisci's contribution gave a mid-top update to the Air Max 97, complete with tumbled synthetic leather and suede. Last but not least, Arthur Huang's Air Max 1 used new materials and processes that resulted in one of the most lightweight versions of the shoe to date.
