Nike Space Hippie 03

Nike is introducing a new line of footwear that takes the scrap material found at their factories and turns it into Space Hippie, a collection of four silhouettes that boast the brand's lower carbon footprint scores ever. The shoe's knit upper is created from what Nike is calling "Space Waste Yarn", a material that is made up of recycled plastic bottles, t-shirts, and yarn scraps. The insole is made from factory scraps sourced from the production of the Vaporfly 4% and the "Crater Foam" of the outsole is made from a blend of standard Nike foams and Nike Grind Rubber, which helps to reduce their reliance on virgin materials.

Nike Space Hippie will be available this Spring on SNKRS, SNEAKERS, Nike's House of Innovation flagships, and select retailers.
