Old School, Banner 2

Inspired by the "school watch," which is a watch made by an apprentice to hone their skills as a watchmaker, the Old School explores this concept with the help of independent watchmaker Luca Soprana. Soprana, who has twenty years of experience as a master watchmaker, teamed up with Massena LAB to revisit this idea with a stunning exercise in elegant minimalism. The Old School features a 41.5mm stainless steel case with a handcrafted dial designed by William Massena, who took inspiration from the marine chronometers of the late 18th century. The watch's LS-01 movement features a power reserve of 40 hours and is composed of a three-quarter plate made entirely out of German silver with a blued steel balance spring, a swan-neck regulator with a micro-metrical screw, and a bi-metallic balance wheel with a black-mirror finished escapement bridge.
