Taking an idea that's been kicking around his head for 20 years, Marc Newson designs his dream luggage for none other than Louis Vuitton.

Newson focused on two main factors: Lightness and space. Weighing just over 6 lbs in its cabin size, the weight was achieved by using lightweight aluminum in the handle and a slimmed down version of the brand's iconic Monogram canvas was created to push the weight down further.

The aluminum handle also serves as a space saver that not only adds structure to the cases, but is designed to seamlessly wrap around the luggage edges to free up more interior space.

Three sizes will be available: mini (19.6 x 13.7 x 7.8 in), cabin (21.6 x 15.3 x 8.2 in) , and maxi (26.7 x 18.1 x 10.2 in) , all of which will be available in Louis Vuitton stores on July 15th and their online store on September 30th.
