Kurono Tokyo's new watch is inspired by Japanese swordmaking
The watch features an urushi dial inspired by the steel used in the swords.
Kurono Tokyo takes inspiration from the steel used in Japanese Swords for its latest watch, the Grand: Hagane. The watch features an urushi dial that has been hand-applied to replicate the finishing of the sword's steel. The watch features a 316L 37mm stainless steel case, a black calf leather band, a caseback that is finished with Kurono founder Hajime Asaoka's signature in kanji. The watch is powered by Miyota's 90S5 movement, which has a power reserve of 40 hours.
