Japanese watchmaker Hajime Asaoka presents his first artisan-level timepiece, the Grand:Akane. The watch features an urushi lacquer dial with a Hamon pattern that was created using a traditional Japanese Niiro chemical treatment. Made in Japan, the watch features a 37mm 316L stainless steel case with a high-polish finish, and a premium-grade Miyota 90S5 automatic movement. The movement is Miyota's highest-end model from their Premium series with a 42-hour power reserve and is made entirely in Japan. Fitted to the watch is a black 20mm calf leather strap with red sides to perfectly complement the dial.
