IWC's newest watch strap is made out of paper
IWC has always pushed innovative materials in its strap and case constructions and today they've announced that they are adding paper-based TimberTex watch straps to the lineup. An eco-friendly alternative to traditional leathers, TimberTex is made out of 80% natural plant fibers from FSC-certified trees found in responsibly managed European forests. The material requires over sixty stages in its production, each of which are manufactured in Italy and are padded with recycled microfiber and are stitched with recycled thread. The straps are also water-resistant and are currently available in blue, brown, and black.
