IWC Portugieser with in-house movement

One watch that has long deserved its own movement is IWC's popular Portugieser Chronograph. Today the company has announced that the chronographs will now be powered by a 194-component 69000-calibre movement with a 46-hour power reserve. While the internals have received a major upgrade, most of the watch remains exactly the same. Each watch has that same elegantly executed chronograph dial surrounded in a 41mm case that can be had in a variety of dial options as well as an 18 ct 5N gold case. Where it does change is the caseback, which is now transparent and the stainless steel models now feature a newly developed butterfly folding clasp.
